Introduction
Since RIF is not a publicly listed company, it is not mandatory for them to publish an annual report. However, they recognised that an Annual Report is now an indispensable vehicle to reach out to a larger audience other than just the shareholders. It can also be leveraged for brand-building, recruitment and enable companies to have a better standing in the market.
RIF required an Annual Report that could match up to its international standards set up by Rabobank, Netherland. The Rabo India Finance Annual Report 2003-04 was designed keeping in line with the Groups Annual Report and
Corporate Brand Manual.
The Annual Report was designed with liberal use of white space giving it a very neat and fresh look. The layout and structure was as per the standards set by the Groups Corporate Brand Team. The colours schemes and fonts family were also kept in compliance with the group's set specifications. The images used were taken from an image bank maintained by the Corporate Brand Management team in Netherland. These images kept the image of RIF consistent with the internationally set standards. The financials were again formatted using colours and white spaces to make them easy to comprehend.
RIF wanted to present a case study of Dynamix Dairy in their Annual Report. It was involved in advising, structuring and financing win-win solutions for farmers, lenders and food processing companies, which led to help their clients realise their business's full potential. This case study was presented at the end of the annual report using the gatefold approach on the back cover.
